WALID MUSTAFA SITI, TAHIR HAMID AND KARIM AZAD

KUFA GALLERY, LONDON
25 JULY–8 AUGUST 1987

Kufa Gallery presents the work of three contemporary artists from the Middle East who have all lived and studied in Europe. Each in his own way attempts to give visual expression to this complex sense of belonging to two worlds. Their work speaks of a certain nostalgia, the horror of war, but also of love and desire: we see solitary figures in unfamiliar surroundings, images of war-strewn landscapes, figures locked in passionate embraces.
