Born in Ahwaz, Iran, in 1983, Babak Kazemi is an experimental artist whose work is deeply autobiographical, serving as a mirror to his lived experiences. This publication focuses on his photographic work of the last two decades. His practice extends beyond traditional photography, evolving into a deep engagement with nature, materials, and their historical and emotional impact.
Living between London and Tehran, his work has explored a range of themes, from war, nature and oil , subjects that have profoundly shaped both his homeland and his artistic vision.
