Mehdi Nabavi is an Iranian artist working between London, Toronto and Tehran. His work is based on coloured glass and mirror-mosaics, inspired by an old traditional craft found in shrines, palaces and finely decorated private dwellings. However, his subject matter encompasses tools of war, portraiture, geometric design and the well-loved ancient Lion and Sun motifs.
