Edited and with an introduction by Rose Issa

Artist Farhad Ahrarnia was born in Shiraz and lives and works in the UK. He digitally prints images onto canvas, and punctures the surface with intricate embroidery, needles and loose threads. The resulting surface tension is unsettling, and leads the viewer to question the gulf between image, reality and hidden meaning.

Published to accompany his first solo exhibition in London, curated by Rose Issa, at Leighton House Museum, summer 2008.
