Nasser Al Aswadi is a contemporary French Yemeni artist known for his innovative use of Arabic and South Arabian script in paintings and sculptures.

Born in 1978 in Yemen, Al Aswadi originally trained as an architect before fully dedicating himself to visual arts. He blends the morphology of letters with abstract forms, creating works that transcend language to evoke broader ideas about identity, migration, memory, while preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of his homeland.

Through his unique visual language, Nasser Al Aswadi offers a powerful commentary on the intersection of tradition and modernity, personal history and collective memory.
